Annual Report 2005 - 2006 ...
During the reporting year KRUPA has facilitated the following programmes, projects, campaigns, shibir’s in Warangal district, Andhra Pradesh state in the fields of rehabilitation of Child labour, School drop out main streaming, Free health check-up camps, Plantation expenses, Rural health Emergency Transport Scheme at Nizamabad Dist., etc.
1) SURVEY OF SCHOOL DROP-OUT CHILDREN:
The organisation has conducted an extensive survey to identify and register School Drop-out children from the rural mandal of Maripeda in Warangal district during the month of December.
2) N.P.E.G.E.L (NATIONAL PROGRAM FOR EDUCATION OF GIRL AT ELEMENTORY LEVEL):
This programme was facilitated in the backward Palampeta cluster of Venkatapur Mandal, Warangal district during the reporting year with an Aim to prevent the girl child studying in elementary schools becoming “School dropouts with various mind stimulating inputs towards continuing education.
3) REMOTE – TRIBAL & RURAL HEALTH CAMPS – WARANGAL DISTRICT:
A total of 10 health camps were facilitated in the remote rural & tribal villages of Warangal district, during the reporting year, with financial aid from Department of Youth services and in co-ordination with Youth clubs.
4) PLANTATION PROGRAMS:
With financial assistance from Department of Youth services a massive Green Plantation Programme was taken up in four Revenue divisions of Warangal district during the reporting year. The Revenue divisions were Narsampet, Mahabubabad, Jangaon & Warangal. 4,000 Tree gaurds were also provided to safeguard the growth of these saplings.
5) RURAL EMERGENCY HEALTH TRANSPORT SCHEME – NIZAMABAD DISTRICT:
Our organisation has facilitated this scheme providing Emergency Ambulnce Services for the benefit of the poor rural sick of the three remote rural mandals of Yellareddy, Nagireddypeta & Nizamsagar with financial assistance from Commissioner of Family Welfare, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
6) NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN:
Under the NEAC, with financial assistance from Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India, funds channelled through Deccan Development Society – Regional Resource Agency, our organisation has facilitated a well planned campaign on Vermi compost & Solid waste management, in the rural village, Chinna Kodepaka of Shayampet mandal, Warangal district.
7) CAMPAIGN FOR PROTECTING WILD LIFE – WARANGAL DISTRICT:
A well planned campaign, with Audio-Visual inputs was facilitated by our organisation in the remote tribal mandals of Eturnagaram & Tadwai with financial assistance from Department of Forests – Wildlife division, Warangal district.
8) CHILD LABOUR REHABILITATION PROJECT:
Our organisation has facilitated a Child labour school with 50 Child labour out of School children in Ganesh Nagar urban slum locality of Hanamkonda town. In addition to accelerated educational inputs the Child labour students are provided with nutritious supplementary nutrition in the afternoons. Every year a majority of these school children are main streamed in to regular schools. During the reporting year 50 were mainstreamed in to regular schools.
9) AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAMMES:
AIDS Awareness programmes was facilitated during the month of December 2005, participation in AIDS Awareness Candle Light Rally from 1000 Pillars Temple to Hanamkonda chowrasta, PULSE Polio programme, Child labour day celebration, School Dropout children survey, Consumers Awareness Programme Etc.
10) OTHER PROGRAMMES WITH LOCALLY RAISED RESOURCES:
In addition to the above all, our organisation has also facilitated Women awareness campaigns on legal issues, Income generation, Promotion of Thrift, Health issues in Warangal Urban slums as well as the tribal Venkatapur & Regonda mandal’s of Warangal District.
