Annual Report 2004 - 2005
During the reporting year KRUPA has facilitated the following programmes, projects, campaigns, shibir’s in Warangal district, Andhra Pradesh state in the fields of rehabilitation of Child labour, Ecology, & Environment development, Comprehensive Community Health, and other programmes with locally raised resources.
1) SURVEY OF SCHOOL DROP OUT CHILDREN:
The organisation has conducted an extensive survey to identify and register school drop out children from the Urban, Rural and Tribal mandals of Warangal district so that they can be effectively brought under the Residential Bridge Course Camp, to ultimately mainstream them in to regular schools.This survey was carried out in Thirteen (13) mandals of Warangal district during the month of April 2004.
2) RESIDENTIAL BRIDGE COURSE (R.B.C):
This RBC was facilitated in the Reddy Colony, Urban slum, Hanamkonda, Warangal in a well ventilated, protected enclosing building housing 100 school drop outs (Out of School children, Child labour and School Drop outs) with accelerated educational inputs, cultural activities, Nutritious diet for a duration of 10 Months. All the 100 students were mainstreamed successfully in to regular Govt. Schools.
3) URBAN SLUM HEALTH CARE PROJECT – URBAN HEALTH CENTRE:
This UHC was facilitated by our organisation, in the Urban slum locality of New Shaympet, providing medical and health facilities to an estimated 20,000 urban slum populations. Family planning, Ante & Post Natal care, Immunization, Adolescent Girl programme, Mahila Arogya Sanga, Health Education were the main components conducted on regular basis, in addition to regular out patient treatments.
